  1. This archive contains a help-file with information about all the MiNT calls. 
  2. This help-file is in Pure-C helpfile format, which means that you can follow
  3. many cross-references in a hypertext-like system. The helpfile is meant 
  4. to be used with Pure-C, where you can get context-sensitive help that can
  5. then be used for cut-and-paste operations. It can also be used with the 
  6. PC_HELP.ACC accessory, and if you editor supports that accessory
  7. (7-up does, for instance) you can get context-sensitive help there too.
  8. Otherwise, you can choose the Index from the accessory and walk through 
  9. the manual pages that way.

  11. The information in the helpfile is based directly on the manual pages that
  12. come with MiNT 0.95. Sadly, there is no way to automatically build a new
  13. help file out of the manual pages if a new version of MiNT is released;
  14. you'll have to wait for a new version of the helpfile. If you find any
  15. mistakes, missing bits or stuff like that, please mail me; I'll correct
  16. it soonest.

  18. Note that many references to standard TOS calls are undefined if you do
  19. not have all the Pure-C help files. If you really need these helpfiles,
  20. you'll have to buy Pure-C. As it is a very good compiler I can advise
  21. that anyway.

  23. Source for the help-file is included in the directory SOURCE. This may be
  24. of use if you want to combine this helpfile with your own user-defined
  25. help-file.

  28. - Pure C is copyright from Borland and Pure systems.
  29. - MiNT and the manual pages are copright from Eric Smith. See the screens
  30.   'authors' and 'copying' in the help-file.
  31. - This helpfile is not copyrighted. However, if you like it, please send
  32.   me e-mail or a postcard. Sufficient reaction will stimulate me to update
  33.   and enlarge this help file; no reaction at all and I'll keep newer versions
  34.   to myself! (So far, three people have reacted...)
